I once walked in fear of failing, due to someone speaking repeatedly that I would not succeed in life. The words that were spoken impacted my life significantly. The fear prevented me from taking risk, pursuing opportunities, and achieving my full potential.
It is an intense anxiety of making mistakes or not achieving one’s goals. I came to the realization through council that it was atychiphobia, which is the fear triggered by the statement” you will fail in life” This fear involves an irrational and persistent fear of not meeting expectations or performing poorly. It can be a debilitating condition. It is more than worry about an outcome. It is an intense, all- encompassing anxiety that can prevent individuals from taking risks, pursuing goals, or even engaging in daily activities.
Words are life and extremely powerful which can shape one’s life for the good or bad. Most importantly it is what you think of yourself. I chose not to stay in a place of victim once coming into the knowledge of the truth. I realized that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has blessed all of us with gifts and talents for His glory to be a help to others whether ministry or business. The fear that was hindering me was trying to mask what I was already purposed to do.
Fear is not failure but can be used as a stepping stone. I overcame fear by applying the principles of God to my life, Seed, Time and Harvest. I am now an entrepreneur, author and pastor that has traveled internationally serving and encouraging others to trust in God’s plan for their lives and walk in their full potential.
Although, it isn’t easy, I am yet growing, striving and pressing forward to be the best me I can be.
In this season, what are your expectations for your business?
What seeds are you sowing, fear or trust?
Do you know it’s TIME to TRUST God in your business?
What kind of harvest are you expecting?
I’m reminded of Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
