Vitamin Infusion Therapy PROS and CONS

Many people have heard of the vitamin infusion Myers Cocktail – this is the best known of vitamin infusions. The Myers Cocktail is a mixture of Vitamin C, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin B complex, and a few other variations depending on where the stock comes from. The Myer’s cocktail was created in the 1960’s by Dr. John Myers. This is a revolutionary method of vitamin therapy that has been used for decades to help with a wide range of ailments. It provides a natural safe, and effective way to treat medical issues from chronic fatigue, to Fibromyalgia, immune system issues, depression, and anxiety.

Because of how effective the Myer’s cocktail is, other vitamin infusion mixtures have been created and tested with positive effects like the Immunity Boost, which is a combination of Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B complex, Or the Beauty Drip that includes Biotin, Vitamin C and Glutathione. Intravenous (IV) vitamin infusions deliver these essential nutrients into the blood stream giving your cells direct access to the fuel they need to function appropriately for you. This method of nutrient delivery is particularly beneficial for people who have difficulty absorbing nutrients through their digestive tract. IV hydration is highly effective for rapidly rehydrating individuals who may be dehydrated due to factors such as vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive sweating and even insufficient fluid intake. IV hydration is commonly used for post operative care to help patients recover from surgery. It prevents dehydration, maintains blood pressure, and supports overall recovery.

We talked about all the positive effects that IV vitamin infusion have, now let’s discuss some negative effects. Naturally every therapy has pros and cons, and IV vitamin infusions are no different, after the infusion some people experience a headache, general unwellness, diarrhea or constipation, and body aches. This is because the body is detoxifying and the cells are dumping stored waste and toxins into the blood stream to be excreted via urine, feces, and sweat. The detox organs are being over worked, these are your liver, skin, lymphatic system, kidney, colon and lungs. After a few hours of feeling unwell people generally report feeling more energized, getting better sleep, and overall, greatness. This is because their cells are empty of waste and can work at their full capacity.

The symptoms described above are not bad, they are natural, although not comfortable to go through. At the very least it means that stored toxins have been released and your cells are now cleaner.

In conclusion, it’s important to note that while IV hydration offers numerous benefits, it is a medical intervention that should be administered by trained healthcare professionals in appropriate settings. The decision to use IV infusion therapy depends on the individual’s health condition and medical needs.
